There are four pubs in the village - The Swan (also the main village hotel), The Angel (located in the Square), The Greyhound and The Cock. All serve bar food.

RestaurantsThe Angel and The Swan serve restaurant standard food, and the latter offers the option of informal bar surroundings or a very grand dining room. The Greyhound and The Cock offer less expensive, more basic alternatives. In addition there is an excellent Indian restaurant, and an excellent upmarket French restaurant (see below).

Everyday shopsThe village is fortunate in having an excellent range of quality of local shops includng a butcher, bakery, pharmacy, late night convenience store, delicatessan, quality grocery, a newsagent and an osteopath.
